Vincent's
clothing boutique in Strabane, Co Tyrone gets a major facelift.
The
welcome changes include a new storage area and a complete
overhaul of the shop floor and display areas.
The
shop has been trading in Strabane for a number of years and
it is hoped that this 'makeover' will encourage more bargain
hunters to pay us a visit.
The shop floor has been nipped and tucked with new rails and
shelves giving it a fresher, tidier appearance. This makes
it much easier for customers to see everything that's for
sale.
Outside,
a new sign, fresh paintwork, flower baskets and imaginative
lighting gives the whole building a younger more attractive
appearance.
Raymonde
McDaid, the area president and shop manager, who
is the driving force behind the changes, says it has made
all the difference to his customers.
They
are delighted with the new look to the shop and because the
goods are displayed better, customers are staying longer and
buying more. "It has been hard work but it was definitely
worth it."

The
storage area has been totally changed making full use of
all the space available. Previously, sorting and storage
were carried out in a small room beside the shop floor or
a smaller portacabin in the back yard.
| The
portacabin has now been removed and a large sorting
facility built, complete with shelving, hanging rails
and specially designed work benches where clothes can
be sorted. |

| This
area leads directly into the shop and the old store
room is now used to display furniture. Most importantly
the staff and volunteers now have a much safer, pleasanter
environment to work in. |
