We see the real face of poverty 365 days a year. These bulbs will be a great help to our many clients, saving them some money off their electricity bills. We'd like to extend a sincere word of thanks to NIE for these bulbs and financial help in recent months, a real practical helping hand".

NIE, through local branches of the Society, is giving away thousands of money saving energy efficient bulbs to the more vulnerable throughout Northern Ireland in 2007.   Each bulb, if put in a frequently used light, can save up to £10 off the electricity bill, explained NIE's Claire McCambridge at the launch in Belfast recently.   "NIE has given away many thousands of energy saving bulbs to community groups and other organisations in the last year.
