Cormac has served on the Regional Board of the SVP for several years with responsibility for prisons. Recently he has been appointed by the NIO as a member of the 'IMB' (Independent Monitoring Board for Prisoners) and hopes to expand on this work during his term of office. He is the tenth Northern Regional President since the restructuring of the Society from the old Diocesan boundaries to one large northern regional boundary in the 1970s.

Cormac went on to thank outgoing president Larry McArdle for all his efforts and hard work during the previous 5 years and pledged to continue to build on his achievements.

Thank you for your continued support !!

"Without your continued help, it would be impossible to meet the ever-increasing demands on our resources and I can assure you that the Society of St Vincent de Paul will continue to fight on behalf of the underprivileged, striving to ensure that those most in need receive what they are entitled to in justice rather than in charity, where possible.

Whilst donations of money, clothes and furniture are always welcomed, we are always in need of more volunteers. Your personal support as a member of the Society of St Vincent de Paul would make a difference."
