"On behalf of the Society of St Vincent de Paul in Northern Ireland, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to this year's Christmas Appeal and for your continued support throughout the year.
To everyone who gave some spare change to our collectors during recent Flag Days; to all those who contributed so generously to their local parishes after Masses on SVP Sunday.....to all those members of the business community who supplied toys and hampers and cheques......to those who left in gifts to the Family Appeal and Giving Trees.....to everyone who bought a packet of SVP Christmas Cards.....and to all the schools who made up hundreds of hampers.......Thank You All......."
Cormac Wilson - SVP Regional President
| Successful Christmas appeals ensure thousands of children, families and pensioners received food, clothes and toys during the festive season.
The Society of St Vincent de Paul wishes to thank everyone who helped make this Christmas a happier one for countless people throughout Northern Ireland during December in response to our many appeals....thank you!!!!!
Without public donations, both financially and in kind, we would not be able to carry out our work. During SVP Week (7th - 14th December), Society volunteers distributed thousands of copies of our annual report which showed how your money was being spent on the most vulnerable in our community.
In the run up to Christmas our members responded to thousands of calls for help and assistance the length and breadth of Northern Ireland, not only for the seasonal toys and hampers but also for help with other essentials such as heating oil, furniture items and clothing.
