The Society has been involved in many employment and job creation activities over the last 25 years with the most notable being ACE and New Deal.

Today the Society continues toprovides placement opportunities through the government's New Deal and Jobskills programmes at its headquarters in North Belfast and also in Craigavon.

Over 500 local long term unemployed people have come through the schemes since 1980 with around 35% progressing into permanent, full-time employment.
